Aerospace Develops High-Sheen and Defect-Free Paint Finish Process

A 3M expert technician will be at the NBAA Annual Convention providing regular demonstrations of this comprehensive paint defect repair process.

ORLANDO, FL – NBAA Convention (Booth #1890) – Oct. 6-8, 2008 –3M Aerospace has developed a step-by-step process to repair 16 common defects that occur when painting aircraft exteriors. A 3M expert technician will be at the NBAA Annual Convention providing regular demonstrations of this comprehensive paint defect repair process.

“A high quality paint finish is imperative to the image of an aircraft, unfortunately, paint defects are a common occurrence,” said Jeff Travis, marketing manager for 3M Aerospace and Aircraft Maintenance Department. “3M Aerospace developed the paint defect repair process which produces exceptional, repeatable results in a short amount of time.”

Demonstrations will show sanding and buffing process steps to remove defects and restore panels to a high-lustere with an endurable finish.
