Houston – Wing Aviation is pleased to announce the appointment of Jeffrey Reid as CEO, effective Oct. 15, 2008. Reid is a highly distinguished aviation executive who will bring strong leadership regarding aircraft management, charter services and growth initiatives to his position at Wing. In that capacity, he will serve as the managing arm of Wing’s boutique aircraft management program, charter operations, FBO, maintenance and aircraft sales division.
Reid has more than 15 years of experience in the aviation industry, where he has achieved an impressive record of accomplishments. He joins Wing from Million Air Charter, where he held the position of executive vice president for the past two years. Prior to his position at Million Air, he spent four years at Executive Jet Management (EJM), a division of Berkshire Hathaway and NetJets. Reid held several positions of increasing responsibility while at EJM, including vice president of subcontracting and vendor relations where he was responsible for procuring charter aircraft to support the NetJets fractional program.
Reid earned a Bachelor of Science degree from the United States Air Force Academy in Colorado Springs, as well as a Master of Science in Management degree from Troy State University.
With a passion for the aviation industry, Reid got his start through his service in the Air Force where he filled various leadership positions and reached the rank of Captain. Subsequent to his military service, Reid joined General Electric’s Aviation division in Cincinnati, Ohio, where he worked with several airline customers to streamline operations through process digitization.
Outside of his professional responsibilities, Reid became a founding board member of the Air Charter Safety Foundation (ACSF), a non-profit organization created to enhance the safety and security of air charters worldwide.
