DENTON, TX – The US Aviation Group, which has been developing a flight training program, has signed on Patrick Dennis as head CFI for their new helicopter training program. Dennis will begin instruction in a Robinson R-22, soon to be supplemented with an R-22 simulator, and eventually an R-44.

Dennis, who recently left Silver State Helicopters in Las Vegas, expects to initiate a full professional pilot program that will take students up through IFR, CFI and Commercial ratings. Training was expected to start in September.

“There’s a growing demand for commercial helicopter pilots, that’s been rising quickly overseas,” says Mike Sykes, President of US Flight Academy. “We expect Patrick will be very busy by the end of his first year here and we do plan to do some aggressive marketing for the helio program here as well as in Europe and Asia."
