Sabreliner Names Jay Hoffer as Manager for Perryville Operation

ST. LOUIS -- Jay Hoffer has been appointed to manage Sabreliner Corporation’s largest aircraft repair, overhaul, and maintenance facility in Perryville, MO. As senior director, Perryville operations, Hoffer reports directly to the vice president of operations for Sabreliner’s Southeast Missouri region, which also includes facilities in the cities of Ste. Genevieve and St. Mary.

Hoffer most recently served as president of BiltBest Products of Ste. Genevieve, which he joined in 2005 and led through significant growth and improved financial performance. Prior to that, he was general manager of Jerl Machine Inc. of Perrysburg, Ohio, a rapidly-growing precision machining and special manufacturing equipment company. He also served as president and chief operating officer of Barber & Ross Co. in Virginia, a leading window and door manufacturer, and held executive positions at other manufacturing and technical firms.

Hoffer retired from the U.S. Navy Supply Corps as a commander in 1992, after a 20-year career in contracting and financial management. He graduated cum laude with a bachelor’s degree in economics from Rockhurst University in Kansas City and holds a master’s degree in business administration, managerial accounting and finance from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.
