PALM COAST, FL -- Careers in Aviation announces the 2008 Michelin Scholarship recipient is Desiree Nicole White from Mary Esther, FL. The $1000 scholarship was open to students to complete their education in the field of aerospace.
Michelin Aircraft Tire is an acknowledged supporter of educational programs such as those offered by Careers in Aviation.
White, a flight student with a grade point average of 3.9, will attend Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University to work toward completing her degree and reaching her goals to work in the aerospace industry. White says that her father, a pilot, instilled a love of aviation in her as a child.
“I feel truly honored to receive the 2008 Michelin Careers in Aviation Scholarship,” says White. “Every dollar brings me closer to reaching my goal. I will someday be among one of those few sitting in the front seat with the perfect view and the perfect job!”
White plans to apply her scholarship award toward flight time and books.
