Southwest Airlines and AMFA Mechanics Reach Tentative Agreement
Agreement has a four-year term, delivers raises in exchange for work rule improvements and contract flexibility.
DALLAS -- Southwest Airlines and the Aircraft Mechanics Fraternal Association (AMFA) announce that the parties have reached a tentative agreement with a four-year term. The Company is pleased with this cost neutral contract which delivers raises in exchange for work rule improvements and contract flexibility. The current collective bargaining agreement became amendable on Aug. 16, 2008.
In the upcoming weeks, the AMFA membership will be given the full details of the agreement and will have the opportunity to vote on ratification. Both parties have negotiated this tentative agreement for the benefit of Southwest Airlines Employees, ensuring the preservation of the Company's unique Culture.
