The European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) certified Kelly Aviation Center LP to work on European commercial aircraft engines.
With this new certification in hand, the company has the potential of winning maintenance, repair and overhaul services contracts on a broader range of aircraft engines. Local workers already provide repair services on the engines that power the military’s C-2 Greyhound, the C-5 Galaxy, C-130 Hercules, the F-16 Fighting Falcon and the KC-10 aerial tanker.
EASA certification will allow Kelly Aviation Center employees to pursue engine work on commercial European engines, including the engines that power the DC-10, A300 and 747 aircraft. In order to receive EASA certification, a company must comply with audits and follow high standards of quality, safety and environmental protection.
