Company established its own Environmental Management System to ensure that activities and products have minimal impact on or risk to the environment.

TORONTO, ONTARIO -- The Lincoln Electric Company of Canada announces that it has received ISO 14001 certification for its head office and manufacturing facility in Toronto, Ontario.

The ISO 14001 Standard is an internationally accepted specification for environmental management systems to help organizations minimize how their operations affect the environment and comply with related laws, regulations and requirements.

As an integral part of the effort to achieve this well-recognized certification, Lincoln Canada has established its own Environmental Management System (EMS) to ensure that the Company's activities and products have minimal impact on or risk to the environment. Lincoln Canada’s EMS helps monitor and improve upon a number of areas that touch on the environment, such as reduction of waste from production, reduction in water and energy consumption, as well as developing and manufacturing environmentally friendly products.

"This certification reinforces the strength of our management systems in Canada, our commitment to the environment in this country, as well as Lincoln’s commitment around the world," says Joseph G. Doria, President and Chief Executive Officer of Lincoln Electric Company of Canada.
