Companies sign 10-year contract for Total Technical Support for up to 11 Boeing 777s.

HAMBURG, GERMANY -- Lufthansa Technik AG and AeroLogic GmbH, based in Schkeuditz, have signed a 10-year contract regarding a Total Technical Support (TTS) for up to 11 Boeing 777 freighter aircraft. The agreement takes effect from January. According to the manufacturer Boeing, the first aircraft will be delivered to AeroLogic in May.

Within the scope of its TTS product, Lufthansa Technik provides services in the fields of maintenance, repair, and logistics of aircraft components as well as in the preparation and planning of the aircrafts' maintenance schedule. The product is further complemented by Technical Operations Management (TOM), in which Lufthansa Technik acts as a strategic partner and assists AeroLogic with the integration management and a start-up-support for the company's operations which currently are being built up.

"In Lufthansa Technik we have found the perfect partner for starting up and managing our 777 freighter fleet operation," says Dr. Thomas Papke, Managing Director of AeroLogic. "It was very important for us to fully concentrate on our owner's tasks. Therefore we needed a partner with a broad expertise in maintenance, repair and overhaul of freighter aircraft, which Lufthansa Technik undoubtedly has."

"We are very happy about AeroLogic's decision for our TTS product," says Dr. Thomas Stueger, Chief Executive Product & Services of Lufthansa Technik AG. "The addition of TOM and the start up support will help our valued customer to benefit from Lufthansa Technik's long lasting experience even before AeroLogic is starting its operations."
