FALLS CHURCH, VA -- CSC announces that the U.S. Air Force has awarded the company a task order to provide a comprehensive range of aviation maintenance and repair services for the U.S. Army's 101st Airborne Division at Fort Campbell, KY. The task order has a one-year base period and a one-year option, bringing the estimated total two-year contract value to $80 million. The task order is awarded under the Contract Field Teams contract, originally awarded to CSC in July 2008. This contract was awarded to CSC during the company's fiscal 2009 third quarter.

Under the terms of the task order, CSC will provide services including helicopter flightline maintenance and flight testing; production control; intermediate and limited depot maintenance; and hazardous material pharmacy support. In addition, CSC technicians will analyze, test and inspect aviation-related equipment and components to determine necessary repairs. CSC will also provide around-the-clock support, including operating specialized maintenance shops and supporting component repairs, at Fort Campbell area facilities and deployed locations. Approximately 225 helicopters, powered and non-powered ground support equipment (generators, hydraulic carts, aircraft jacks, maintenance stands) and other aviation equipment will be maintained.

"This contract is a testament to the Army's confidence in CSC's long and successful relationship with the defense aviation community," says James W. Sheaffer, president of CSC's North American Public Sector line of business. "For more than 20 years, the Army has counted on us to provide innovative technology-based solutions to help meet its mission-critical requirements."

CSC's Applied Technology Division will provide the services and support teams for this task order. The division provides a full range of facilities operations, maintenance support and managed services for government clients requiring aviation and logistics, infrastructure services, base operations, or mission and range support worldwide.
