Friends Set Up Fund to Help Family of Photographer Killed at Sebring Expo

Feb. 5, 2009
Steve Fletcher was a photographer for Today’s Pilot magazine and av8images.

The following is a letter from Ken Godin.

Dear Friends and Associates,

On January 25th 2009 we lost our friend and colleague Steve Fletcher in a tragic plane crash in Florida. Steve was a great friend to us personally and a great asset to our industry. As many of you know Steve was a photographer for Today’s Pilot magazine as well as his own company av8images. Steve was always there to get the magic shot, up before dawn to get the light just right and seemingly everywhere around an air show or event taking pictures and working with Dave Unwin (Today’s Pilot magazine) to make stories that promoted our businesses. Steve was a master of Air-to-Air photography.

On the last day of the Sebring Florida Light Sport Expo 2009, Steve was tragically killed while working on a photo shoot to promote a company in our industry.

Steve leaves his wife, two young children and many, many friends.

Please consider contributing to a fund we have started for his family. 100% of your thoughtful donations will be presented in the first week of March 2009 but the account and effort will remain indefinitely. Please feel free to forward this note on to anyone you feel would be willing to help.

Thank you very much in advance for your generosity.

Fondest Regards,

Ken Godin (Steve's friend)
