StarterGenerator.com Ceases to Offer Unison-APC Sponsored Exchange and Upgrade Programs

Recent sale of APC brings about some significant changes.

THE WOODLANDS, TX -- Effective immediately, StarterGenerator.com will discontinue the promotion and offering of Aircraft Parts Corp. (formerly APC-Unison)-sponsored exchange and upgrade programs.

The recent sale of APC has brought about some significant changes. On Feb. 3, 2009, StarterGenerator.com received word from APC that "all exchange programs supported by APC and Unison will no longer be in effect."

StarterGenerator.com will continue to maintain an inventory of APC OEM overhauled starter generators, however APC overhauled units will be available for exchange on a limited basis, with a completely independent pricing structure.

StarterGenerator.com remains an APC distributor for the sale of replacement components including starter generators, GCUs and expendable piece parts. Its plans include expanding its APC exchange pool to include other manufacturers and the launch of a completely redesigned website.

"Given our passionate endorsement of these OEM exchange programs and their relative success over the past two years, discontinuing them is clearly a disappointment," says Garrett W. Schwarz, president of StarterGenerator.com. "The good news is the aircraft starter generator industry is quite mature and abundant with MRO resources necessary to sustain itself and produce alternative solutions which are innovative, value added and speak to the needs of our customers and the aftermarket. By leveraging our website, global brand, comprehensive inventory and financial capability, we will unite an ideal combination of industry resources and introduce high-quality, cost-effective, flat rate priced exchange solutions for both APC and Goodrich-Lucas starter generators in the near future."
