MNG Technic Announces New Hangar Project

Istanbul's Ataturk Airport will be able to serve 45 planes at the same time and employ 2,000 workers.

On March 6, MNG Technic (the first and the only private Aircraft Maintenance Center in Ataturk Airport, Istanbul, Turkey) won the auction organized by the General Directorate of Airports Authority (DHMI) Turkey for constructing a new MRO hangar in Istanbul's Ataturk Airport.

MNG Technic's management says that the project will be implemented in four sections. The total size of the hangar will be 64.000m² and construction of the first hangar section will begin as soon as possible. This section's size is 16.000m² while the apron size is 57.000 m², including the all possibilities of any type of MRO workshops and painting capabilities.

With this investment, MNG Technic will improve its capacity to 12 times of its current size. MNG Technic will have the possibility to serve 45 planes at the same time and employ 2,000 workers when the whole project is finished.
