Dassault Falcon Opens Reno Service Center
Full service Falcon MRO location offers comprehensive avionics, engine, and aircraft support services.
RENO, NV -- Dassault Falcon announces the opening of a new Dassault Aircraft Services facility at the Reno Tahoe International Airport (RNO). The new facility is a full service Falcon MRO location and offers comprehensive avionics, engine, and aircraft support services, including an AOG "Go Team" to provide rapid mobile response directly to the location of an aircraft anywhere in United States, with the technicians, parts, and tools necessary to get a Falcon flying with minimal delay.
Last week, Dassault Aircraft Services (DAS)– Reno received certification from the FAA to perform maintenance on the Falcon 50, Falcon 2000, Falcon 900 and Falcon 7X family of aircraft. The nearly 40,000 square foot facility will eventually be staffed by over 40 highly skilled Dassault Falcon personnel. DAS – Reno is fully capable of performing troubleshooting, scheduled and unscheduled maintenance and inspections up to and including the "B" level. Capabilities will eventually mature to include "C" inspections, according to Bob Candler, General Manager of DAS-Reno. The new facility also includes an investment of nearly $1.3 million in tooling and ground support equipment.
"The addition of DAS – Reno to our service center infrastructure is a reflection of our long-term vision to provide the most comprehensive support network of any business jet manufacturer," says John Rosanvallon, President and CEO of Dassault Falcon Jet. "The increase in service center capacity will result in more flexibility and reduced downtime for Falcon operators."
Dassault's Factory Owned Service Center capacity has increased dramatically over the past two years. In August 2008, plans were revealed for a new service center at Sorocaba Airport in Sao Paulo, Brazil which will open shortly. In mid-2007 a plan to double the square footage of the Little Rock Service Center and to increase the capacity of the Le Bourget Service Center by adding an additional 50,000 square feet was announced. Both projects are now complete.
In addition to the five Factory Owned Service Centers, Falcon operators are supported by 26 Authorized Service Centers, 13 spare parts distribution centers, and a Technical Center with locations in three time zones to provide 24/7 support to operators around the world.
