AMES Hopes for Flying Start

New Ohio MRO company to start up with 325 employees.

Airborne Maintenance and Engineering Services (AMES), a newly formed company that will perform aircraft maintenance, repair and overhaul services, will spring into life Monday at the DHL Air Park.

The number of staff at mid-week stood at about 260 to 270 employees, said company spokeswoman Beth Huber. The final target for the start-up workforce is about 325 employees.

"Some are still in the process as far as making offers and the screening process, which will continue into next week," she said.
