AFTON, WY – Aviat Aircraft has signed a dealership agreement with Steve Landers of Airpro, granting the company the states of Arkansas, Missouri, Kansas, Minnesota, Iowa, Kentucky, Indiana, Illinois, Michigan, and Wisconsin. Airpro, which was founded in October 2006, is located at Saline County Airport in Bryant, AR.
"We are very excited about taking on the Aviat Husky," says Paul Nowlin, sales manager for Airpro. "It's an incredibly versatile aircraft with its useful load and many landing configurations. We plan to do some aggressive marketing in our territory and anticipate a lot of activity."
Airpro started operations with crop dusting, then added fire bombing, and fertilization of pine trees. The Husky is their first foray into new aircraft sales.
"We will provide transition training for buyers who are not familiar with tailwheel landings," says Nowlin. Airpro also expects to expand into charter flights and aerial surveys.
The Husky is a popular two-place aircraft with options for standard tires, tundra tires, skies, amphibious or straight floats. It has a gross weight capacity of 2,200 pounds and STOL performance.
