Repair operations move from Mesa, AZ, to Cecil Field.

The Boeing Co. is moving its repair operations from Mesa, AZ, to Cecil Field and Cecil Commerce Center, bringing about 60 jobs and $3.3 million in investment.

The move of the jobs, which pay an average annual wage of $60,000, will be integrated into Boeing’s current operation at Cecil Field throughout this year. The Arizona facility has repaired thousands of flight control surface components for every model of Hornet and Super Hornet aircraft.

"We are always looking for ways to reduce costs for our customer, and operating one facility instead of two does just that," Larry Sellman, Boeing’s director of F/A-18 Product Support, said in a news release.
