DALLAS, TX -- BBA Aviation's Engine Repair and Overhaul (ERO) company Dallas Airmotive and fractional ownership provider Avantair have signed a five-year engine maintenance agreement. Dallas Airmotive will provide repair, hot section inspection, overhaul, and field service on the PT6A-66 engines that power Avantair's fleet of Piaggio Avanti turboprop aircraft.

"Our ability to provide fast turn times and our extensive field support for these engines fits perfectly with the demanding operations of the fractional operator," says BBA Aviation Engine Repair and Overhaul President, Hugh McElroy. "Avantair has been a great success story, and we look forward to helping them as they continue to grow."

Dallas Airmotive has been an OEM-authorized Distributor and Designated Overhaul Facility (DDOF) for the PT6A since 1967 and is recognized as a world leader in the repair and overhaul of these engines. Avantair engines will be serviced out of Dallas Airmotive's Charlotte, NC, Regional Turbine Center and its Dallas, TX, major overhaul facility. Avantair operates more than 50 Piaggio Avanti twin-turboprop aircraft.
