Coatings Business Repeats Top Supplier Success with Turkish Aerospace Industry
AkzoNobel Aerospace Coatings earns Turkish Aerospace Industry's "Golden Status."
For the fifth year running Turkish Aerospace Industry (TAI) has awarded AkzoNobel Aerospace Coatings "Golden Status" in its annual Supplier Performance Rating System. This is the highest rating of five possible levels and only given for exceptional service where a supplier exceeds expectations across a range of indicators, from product delivery to supplier support.
"We expect our suppliers to deliver the right quality at the right time with proper documents and we expect to have a smooth information flow and collaborative approach whenever problems arise," says Safiye Kahveci, head of Procurement and Material Planning at TAI. "We are very glad AkzoNobel Aerospace Coatings has once again been rated as a golden supplier for the year 2008."
TAI was established in 1984 and employs 2,800 people. It is a sub-contractor for the international aeronautical OEM industry for both civil and military aircraft.
"It's only by ensuring that we keep this high level of co-operation and service that we are able to maintain our top status in this rigorous procedure," says René Bremer, Middle East Sales Manager for AkzoNobel Aerospace Coatings. "The OEM sector demands one of the highest quality standards in the aerospace industry. Our success with TAI is the result of teamwork across both businesses."
