ABX Parent Wins Business from Qantas, DHL
ABX and a newly formed Air Transport subsidiary will maintain aircraft in Belgium and Nigeria.
The parent company of Wilmington cargo carrier ABX Air Inc. said Tuesday that it has signed new deals with shipping giant DHL and another freight company to provide wide-body air cargo service.
Wilmington-based Air Transport Services Group Inc. said that ABX under a new agreement will run charter service six days a week between Brussels, Belgium, and Lagos, Nigeria, for DHL affiliate European Air Transport NV/SA. The agreement initially calls for service to run through September.
As part of the DHL agreement, ABX and a newly formed Air Transport subsidiary, Airborne Maintenance and Engineering Services, will maintain the aircraft in Brussels and Lagos.
