Summer Camp Exposes Teenagers to Careers in Aviation

An aviation career camp gave Brandon Evans a blueprint for achieving his dream.

Seventeen summers later, Evans, a UPS first officer and Tennessee Air National Guard major, watched with interest as 47 high school students followed in his footsteps.

"I always wanted to fly," said Evans, 32, a White Station High School student when he attended the first Memphis Aviation Career Education (ACE) camp in 1992. "This gave me a clear road map of 'this is how you do it.' "
