Avocet Moves to Orlando Sanford International Airport

Commercial aircraft repair center and sister company, Aircraft Parts Sales Inc., relocate.

ORLANDO, FL — Aircraft repair center Avocet Maintenance & Engineering announces its relocation from Opa-Locka Airport in Miami-Dade County, FL, to Orlando Sanford International Airport (OSIA) in Sanford. The new location is effective immediately, the company says. The move also includes sister company Aircraft Parts Sales Inc.

Avocet provides aviation repair, maintenance, and aircraft tear-down services for a variety of commercial customers. The company has been in the aviation maintenance business for more than 20 years.

Avocet decided to make the move due to the opportunity to enter into a long-term relationship with OSIA. The company's new state-of-the-art hangar facilities, expected to be completed in the first quarter of 2010, will enable it to provide a full range of services to commercial customers, including cargo carriers which may find the Orlando Sanford International Airport location appealing.

"We're excited about our partnership with Orlando Sanford International Airport and the many opportunities that will arise for our company and for our valued clients," says Maria Arellano, general manager. "Sanford is one of the fastest growing airports in the United States, and is strategically located in Central Florida. This move will provide us with the opportunity to expand our capabilities and get back to our specialization of providing high quality, efficient maintenance services to commercial aircraft operators."

"Avocet brings a significant and long-awaited enhancement to the Airport through its ability to provide onsite maintenance for our commercial carriers," says Airport President, Larry Dale. "We look forward to a long and most successful relationship with Avocet and their dynamic team."
