FORT COLLINS, CO -- Woodward Governor Company announces that Hamilton Sundstrand selected the company as its exclusive provider of specific engine components for the Pratt & Whitney PurePower engine program.

Woodward will provide Hamilton Sundstrand high- and low-pressure stator vane actuators and oil valve packages. The PurePower engine family includes the new PW1000 engine for the MRJ (Mitsubishi Regional Jet) and the Bombardier CSeries single-aisle aircraft families, both launched last year, as well as an Advanced Turbofan engine.

"Woodward will be a significant contributor to the PurePower engine family with our advanced technologies in actuation controls and accessories," says Marty Glass, Woodward Group Vice President, Turbine Systems. "These engines promise new levels of fuel efficiency and low emissions to an industry in critical need of these solutions."

"We're pleased to have Woodward as our supplier on the systems that Hamilton Sundstrand provides for Pratt & Whitney's PurePower engine family," says Steve Peery, Vice President Hamilton Sundstrand Engine Systems.

Combined with the fuel nozzles for the PurePower, awarded to Woodward by Pratt & Whitney last year, Woodward expects the value of these programs to be more than $500 million in original equipment and aftermarket revenue over 20 years.
