Gulfstream Aerospace Names James S. Ross VP of Pre-owned Aircraft Sales

Ross has 29 years of business aviation experience and is licensed by both the FAA and Transport Canada.

SAVANNAH, GA – Gulfstream Aerospace, a wholly owned subsidiary of General Dynamics, has promoted James S. "Jim" Ross to vice president, Pre-Owned Aircraft Sales. Ross replaces Matt Harnett, who retired recently. Ross will report to Larry Flynn, senior vice president, Marketing and Sales, Gulfstream Aerospace, and be based in the Savannah headquarters.

Ross started his career in the business aviation industry in Montreal, Quebec, Canada, 29 years ago. He moved to the United States 14 years ago and held successively senior positions with well-known aerospace companies until he joined Gulfstream in 2006. For the past three years, Ross has been responsible for the sale of pre-owned Gulfstream inventory and brokerage aircraft in the western United States, Central and South America and the Far East. His duties included market valuations, aircraft review and specifications, offer and contract negotiations, pre-purchase inspection oversight and delivery process.

Ross earned a bachelor of commerce degree in marketing from McGill University, Montreal, and has completed graduate studies in the MBA program. He holds commercial licenses, multi-engine, from both the Federal Aviation Administration and Transport Canada and has accumulated more than 1,600 flying hours.
