Industry displays of many Light-Sport Aircraft have proven extremely popular with airshow attendees.

SAINT PAUL, MINNESOTA / July 22, 2009 - LAMA, the Light Aircraft Manufacturers Association, is pleased to announce hosting the first-ever industry-operated LSA Mall at EAA AirVenture Oshkosh. Previous LSA Mall efforts at the big summer airshow were courtesy of EAA but now LAMA is assembling and managing the industry showcase.

An LSA Mall is also offered at Sun 'n Fun (immediately inside the main gate) and these industry displays of many Light-Sport Aircraft have proven extremely popular with airshow attendees. To compare several different LSA of interest at the biggest airshows means wearing out a lot of shoe leather because LSA exhibitors are scattered all over the grounds of these events. "Putting many of the top-selling LSA wingtip-to-wingtip has definitely been a winner with those attending AirVenture or Sun 'n Fun," said Dan Johnson, president and chairman of the board for LAMA. "Just think 'auto mall' and why competing auto sellers want to be next to one another - it works for the customer," Johnson added.

The following major LSA brands will be featured in the 2009 AirVenture LSA Mall: CT producer, Flight Design; Tecnam, owner of more SLSA approvals than any other company; GX builder, Remos; SportStar developer, Evektor; new SportCruiser manufacturer, Czech Sport Aircraft; fast up-and-coming Jabiru; Sting producer, TL Ultralight; the luxury LSA Gobosh; Paradise and their roomy P-1; AirMax's handsome amphibian, the SeaMax; the very low-cost X-Air LS; the Navigator from 3Xtrim; Progressive Aerodyne's popular SeaRey amphibian; the new all-American Arion Lightning LS-1; IndUS Aviation's Thorpedo; and, an open-cockpit M-Squared Breese. Additional products and services also have displays in the LSA Mall.

"We especially wish extend thanks to our primary supporter Aviators Hot Line/Light Aviation Edition for making possible the LSA Mall Hosted by LAMA," said Dan Johnson, president of LAMA. "We also appreciate financial support from Jabiru USA and Arion, respectively makers of the Jabiru J170, J230, and J250 plus the Lightning LS-1. Finally, LAMA is grateful for the cooperation of EAA in assuring the continuation of the LSA mall concept."

LAMA, the Light Aircraft Manufacturers Association, is the light aviation industry's trade association.
