The efforts will cover all of Raisbeck Engineering’s current work with both Bombardier Learjet and Hawker Beechcraft, both of which are headquartered in Wichita.

Seattle, Wash.-(July 27, 2009) Raisbeck Engineering’s CEO and Chairman, James D. Raisbeck, announced today that Groom Aviation LLC of Wichita Kansas will represent Raisbeck’s interests in Wichita. The efforts will cover all of Raisbeck Engineering’s current work with both Bombardier Learjet and Hawker Beechcraft, both of which are headquartered in Wichita, known to many as the “Air Capital City.”

Groom Aviation is an established consulting firm with a broad range of clients ranging from aircraft manufacturers, fixed base operators, aerospace suppliers and private equity firms. Owner Randall Groom founded the firm after a long aviation career culminating as President of Beechcraft, and President of Global Customer Support for Hawker Beechcraft. Prior to Beech, he was Senior Vice President of Piedmont Hawthorne Aviation where he was part owner and led aircraft sales, charter, and MRO activities.

Raisbeck Engineering, headquartered in Seattle, Washington, has a long association with general and business aviation dating back to 1973, and has successfully introduced performance improvement systems for the Learjet family, the entire Beechcraft King Air series, and other aircraft such as the Sabreliner, the Boeing 727 and 737, and the Airbus A320 series.

More than 3,000 Raisbeck-equipped airplanes have enjoyed these productivity upgrades over the past 35 years. Raisbeck’s performance systems are sold and installed by a worldwide network of service centers, including Bombardier Aviation Services and Hawker Beechcraft Services. Including its independent dealers, Raisbeck’s products are distributed by over 100 such service centers around the globe.

Raisbeck Engineering’s CEO, James Raisbeck commented, “We couldn’t ask for a more informed and currently involved group than Randy Groom’s select corps of experts. He and I worked closely together when Randy was president of Beechcraft, which resulted in the incorporation and installation on the King Air production of several of our systems, all to the benefit of the end user as well as our companies. With our increased involvement in the Learjet product line, we expect even greater synergism with these two great Wichita-based companies.”

Randall Groom added, “We are very happy to be involved with and have assignments from Raisbeck Engineering. My personal knowledge of their products goes back 20 years, when Piedmont was a dealer/installer of their performance improvement products for the King Air Family. In this day and age of scarce research and development money from within the OEMs, it just seems a good fit all the way around.”

Raisbeck Engineering continues to be dedicated to improving the productivity, safety and performance of business and corporate aircraft worldwide. More company information can be found at www.raisbeck.com.
