FAA Partners with New and Revolutionary Learning Management System: LearningZen.com
LearningZen.com has interfaced its online learning management system with the FAA’s WINGS and AMT programs located at FAASafety.gov.
Salt Lake City, Utah August 4, 2009 - LearningZen.com is happy to announce their industry partnership with the Federal Aviation Administrations’ Safety Team (FAASTeam). LearningZen.com has interfaced its online learning management system with the FAA’s WINGS and AMT programs located at FAASafety.gov. This interface will allow anyone in the aviation community to develop courses on LearningZen.com and submit them to the FAASTeam for consideration in their awards programs. If the course is accepted, it will appear in the FAASafety.gov course catalog and available to over 400,000 airmen who participate in the FAASafety.gov system.
LearningZen.com is a free Learning Management System that supports the creation and distribution of shared knowledge. It was created out of the simple concept that things like training and education should be kept in the public domain and available to anyone.
Individuals and organizations alike can greatly benefit from participating in such programs. Training can benefit your company’s growth potential and profitability by increasing employee skill sets. It also decreases a company’s liability when they provide pertinent education and information to their workers. LearningZen.com is dedicated to revolutionizing the Learning Management System marketplace by building a strong community of students, educators, and collaborators.
LearnginZen.com also offers an option that keeps content private and behind a secure portal and it’s just as easy to use as the free site. Premium Services were launched recently on July 6, 2009. Premium Services gives their users complete control over who can access what content. Like the free site, this functionality of can be up and running in hours rather than days. You can use virtually any media to enhance your course, with new features being deleivered bi-weekly. At $4999 annually, LearningZen is one of the lowest cost Learning Management Systems available.
Doug Mark, Vice President of Business Development had this to say: “The team at LearningZen has never understood why competitors charge anywhere from $60,000 to over a million dollars for a Learning Management system. Companies like the idea of e-learning because it’s supposed to save them money but a lot of LMS companies are very secretive about the overall cost. We wanted to separate ourselves from this concept and deliver a low cost solution to the masses so they can protect, educate and validate their principle assets, their staff.”
"In the current economic climate, businesses, government agencies and non-profit organizations are required to do more with less and are seeking more cost-effective solutions than standard learning management systems," said Dennis Phillips, Ph.D. and Co-Founder of LearningZen.com. "Many of these training needs must be met regardless of funding availability. A hosted educational portal allows an organization to provide training and certification at a fraction of the cost. LearningZen.com is a high-quality solution that meets these needs."
LearningZen.com supports the aviation community at large by sharing invaluable knowledge that will improve the safety of our skies and help to protect the lives of airmen. In addition to participation in the program, LearningZen.com provides an opportunity for businesses to enhance brand recognition, introduce new products and services to customers, and builds good will with business partners and Airmen.
