Avidyne and RGV Announce First European Entegra Release 9

Lincoln, MA, August 21, 2009--– Avidyne Corporation, a leading provider of integrated flight deck and safety systems for general aviation aircraft announced today that RGV Aviation Limited of Gloucester, U.K. has completed and delivered the first internationally-based Cirrus SR22 aircraft retrofit of an Entegra Release 9 Integrated Flight Deck (IFD) system.

“We are quite familiar with Avidyne, working closely with them most recently on their MLX770 and TWX670 retrofits, so partnering on the Entegra Release 9 retrofit program is a natural fit for us,” said Alec Vincent, RGV’s Avionics Manager. “We’ve been really impressed with the Release 9 system, and we have many customers who are now inquiring about upgrading their aircraft.”

“RGV is recognized across Europe for their expertise in Cirrus aircraft maintenance and avionics retrofits, and they were a terrific partner to have as our first international Entegra Release 9 installation facility,” said Patrick Herguth, Avidyne’s Chief Operating Officer. “There are a large number of Cirrus aircraft flying in Europe, and RGV is leading the way in allowing these owner-operators to transition to enhanced safety and utility of Entegra Release 9.”
