PAS Technologies Names Clifton to Lead Florida Facility

Kansas City, Mo. – September 3, 2009 – PAS Technologies Inc., announced today the promotion of Michael Clifton, Jr., General Manager of the Miramar, Florida facility effective September 1 reporting to PAS Technologies’ President and CEO Robert Weiner. Clifton replaces incumbent Brett Baker who was recently named PAS Technologies’ Quality Manager for the Kansas City, Missouri, facility.

“Mike brings a solid background of over 19 years of operations experience to this position. His personal leadership qualities have contributed much to our drive to become the industry leader,” said Weiner. “I expect Mike to drive his new team with the same dynamic leadership and operational discipline he has always demonstrated to help us meet our safety, growth and productivity objectives. Mike will also focus on continuing our growth in the Southwest area by expanding our customer base and further increasing the level of service provided to our customers.”

Michael Clifton joined PAS Technologies in 2007 as Human Resources and Lean Manufacturing Manager for the Tulsa, Oklahoma facility. Since 2008, Clifton has served as Operations Manager of PAS Technologies’ Phoenix, Arizona facility. Prior to that, he spent four years with the City of Daytona Beach Florida in Police Department Operations. His career includes nine years in the United States Air Force including two tours of Southwest Asia and five years in Europe overseeing implementation of Lean and TQM programs. While in the military, Mike was awarded the Valedictorian Military Leadership and Management Academy award, and Non-Commissioned Officer of the Year recognition.

Clifton holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from the University of Oklahoma. He earned dual Master’s Degree in Business Administration from Oklahoma State University and a Master’s of Human Relations from the University of Oklahoma. He holds his Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) certification as a certified Senior HR Professional and has completed Benchmarking Leader, LEAN Manufacturing, Six Sigma Black Belt, and Strategic Planning and Development certifications. He is also a member of the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM); Tulsa Area Human Resource Association (TAHRA); Golden Key International Honor Society; Association for Manufacturing Excellence (AMA); and Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW).
