Gulfstream Names Luis Leal Midwest Regional Sales Manager, Product Support Sales

SAVANNAH, Ga., October 5, 2009 — Gulfstream Aerospace has appointed Luis Leal as Midwest Regional Sales Manager (RSM), Product Support Sales. Leal is based in the Houston area and reports to Gary Smiley, director, Service Center Sales, Midwest Region. Leal is responsible for maintenance sales to Gulfstream and non-Gulfstream aircraft operators in Mexico and the Caribbean. He is teamed with Juan De Leon, who is responsible for maintenance sales in Central and South America.

Leal has worked in corporate aviation for 12 years, starting in 1997 as a technician at Gulfstream in Savannah. He went on to become a Savannah-based RSM, Product Support Sales, covering Mexico and Central and South America.

Prior to his new position at Gulfstream, Leal was an RSM for StandardAero in Houston.

Leal has an associate’s degree in aviation maintenance from Texas State Technical College and is a licensed airframe and powerplant (A&P) technician.
