Orlando, Florida…October 19, 2009…BBA Aviation Engine Repair and Overhaul (ERO) company Dallas Airmotive has received approval from Honeywell as a Line Maintenance Service Center for the RE100 auxiliary power unit used on a number of light and midsize business jets. Dallas Airmotive already has Honeywell trained field technicians in place to service this unit and will be adding more in the coming months.

For APUs, line maintenance includes starter seal replacement and hot section inspection as well as oil and filter changes, removal and replacement of engines, external line replaceable units, accessories and components plus all related services not requiring disassembly of the engine.

“Our field service representatives and mobile response teams are well versed on Honeywell APU products,” stated BBA Aviation Director of Technical Process Improvement Nit Subramaniam. “The RE100 represents a newer entrant into the APU market and we expect it will continue to grow in number over time.”

The RE100 APU is used on Cessna Citations XL, XLS, XLS+ and Sovereign, the Gulfstream G150 and Bombardier Learjet 45/45XR.

Dallas Airmotive is a leading service provider on Honeywell engine products including the 36 series APU, TFE731, ALF502, CFE738 and recently added the HTF7000. “The RE100 complements the existing 36 series product line with which we are so familiar,” commented Subramaniam. “This new authorization will help us offer even more complete service packages to business jet operators.”
