STRATFORD, CT, October 20, 2009 -- Gama Aviation Inc., the US-based arm of the Farnborough based Gama Group, (Booth 2923) today announced that 2009 is a record year for the growth of their managed fleet of business aircraft. Gama Aviation Inc. has added aircraft throughout the United States and South America this year. As part of its growth strategy, a new base has also been established at Teterboro Airport in the hub of Northeast business aircraft operations. Gama’s diverse fleet now includes 13 Gulfstreams, 5 Falcons, and 11 Challengers, Global Expresses, and Lear Jets.

Most recently, a new Charlotte-based Dassault Falcon 2000LX has been added to the fleet and is available for charter. This 10 passenger aircraft has a range of 4,000 nautical miles at Mach 0.80. This aircraft also features Dassault’s new blended winglet system for improved efficiency and range, and Dassault’s revolutionary EASy cockpit system. The Falcon 2000LX strengthens Gama Aviation’s current Charlotte-based fleet that includes a Citation X and Challenger 604.

In the Northeast, Gama has recently established a base of operations at Teterboro airport that includes exclusive hangar space, operations and maintenance support, and client service functions. This base has already seen substantial growth, with the addition of a Dassault Falcon 2000 added earlier in 2009 and a unique 16-seat Gulfstream IV that features an exceptional audio system and interior layout that is perfect for large groups. Also in the northeast, Gama has added a Part 91 Hawker 800XP to its fleet.

In the Midwest, Gama’s fleet has been strengthened with the addition of two Challenger 604’s and a Lear 45XR. These aircraft are based in St. Louis.

In the Southeast, a Gulfstream G450 was recently added for a new client, and again the entire completion and delivery process was managed by Gama, including the entry into service. This aircraft will be based in Florida and in Santiago, Chile and is available for Part 135 operations. Gama also has added a Gulfstream G350 and Lear 40 based in West Palm Beach.

“Gama Aviation Inc.’s growth is largely attributed to clients recognizing the value that a professional aircraft management company can bring to the efficient and cost-effective operation of their aircraft,” said Scott Ashton, Gama Aviation Inc.’s Chief Commercial Officer, “In this market, aircraft owners are looking for two things – stability and a sense of stewardship. Our 25 years of operating history provides the stability. Our clients recognize that keeping up with the myriad of issues that are involved in aircraft ownership and operations – from taxes and accounting, to maintenance and crewing and regulatory issues as well as flight operations takes a tremendous effort. Gama focuses on its role as the steward of what may be a company’s single highest value asset, giving our clients peace of mind.”

Marwan Khalek, CEO of Gama Group noted “We are delighted with the progress Gama Aviation, Inc. has made in growing the US management and charter business in the current environment. More and more, aircraft owners are looking to experienced management companies like Gama to reduce their overall operational costs while relying on their specialized expertise as aircraft operations and compliance grows more complex.”
