    Derco Aerospace Signs F-16 Refurbishment Contract With Thai Aviation Industries

    Under the contract, Derco will provide spares, repairs, and engineering services in support of TAI’s maintenance activities required to return a RTAF F-16B to operational service.

    MILWAUKEE, Wis., October 20, 2009 – Derco Aerospace, a Sikorsky Aerospace Services company, has signed an F-16 structural and avionics repair and refurbishment contract with Thai Aviation Industries (TAI) in support of the Royal Thai Air Force (RTAF). Sikorsky Aerospace Services is the worldwide aftermarket business of Sikorsky Aircraft Corp., a subsidiary of United Technologies Corp. (NYSE: UTX).

    Under the contract, Derco will provide spares, repairs, and engineering services in support of TAI’s maintenance activities required to return a RTAF F-16B to operational service. The addition of this contract strengthens Derco’s portfolio as a provider of aftermarket spares, repairs, and engineering services to the domestic and international F-16 communities.

    TAI is the public / private corporation responsible for C-130 and F- 16 maintenance for the RTAF.
