Limited Openings Remain in EAA's B-17 Fantasy Camp

The EAA again hosts its B-17 Fantasy Flight Camp on Dec. 18-20 at the EAA Aviation Center in Oshkosh.

EAA AVIATION CENTER, OSHKOSH, Wis. - (Oct. 27, 2009) - Only a limited number of openings remain in a weekend experience perfect for aviation enthusiasts, as EAA again hosts its B-17 Fantasy Flight Camp on Dec. 18-20 at the EAA Aviation Center in Oshkosh.

This once-in-a-lifetime weekend includes weekend accommodations on the EAA grounds, full access to the EAA AirVenture Museum, complete, detailed briefings and background on the B-17 "Flying Fortress," plus flight time in this iconic bomber from the World War II era.

Fantasy Flight Camp participants will participate with those who fly and maintain EAA's B-17, "Aluminum Overcast," one of about a dozen B-17s still flying in the world. The airplane has been a popular draw during its national tours over the past 15 years.

"Whether it's for an early Christmas gift or a special experience for a real airplane fan, the B-17 Fantasy Flight Camp is an unmatched experience," said Bob Campbell, EAA's director of resident education. "There is no place else in the world that brings together the history of the B-17 and the spirit of aviation than here at EAA in Oshkosh."
