The Flight Safety Foundation (FSF) has teamed up with American Express to make supporting the Foundation's endowment even easier. American Express card members can donate membership reward points to the Foundation via the American Express Web site. For every 1,000 points donated, the Foundation receives US$10.
Donating points is easy: Simply go to www.americanexpress.com/give, select an amount to donate, and specify it for the "Flight Safety Foundation." All contributions are tax-deductible; American Express will issue a receipt to each donor for tax purposes.Why Donate?
For more than 60 years, Flight Safety Foundation (FSF) has contributed significantly to the improvement of global aviation safety. Our programs and products have earned prestigious industry awards for their contributions to the aviation safety community, and many of the initiatives on which the Flight Safety Foundation has been working are supported by your valuable donations.
Yet there is much more to do to continue the Foundation's tradition of quality research, auditing, education, advocacy and publishing. New partnerships with humanitarian organizations such as the World Food Programme and assisting with their safety efforts, as well as new student programs, are just a few of the things FSF hopes to expand on in the near future. Because effective action requires long-term planning and a secure financial base, the Foundation has created an endowment fund. There are several ways you can donate in addition to using your American Express points:
Donate directly through Network for Good. You can give a one-time donation in any amount, or you can choose to donate any amount on a recurring basis. These donations will be spent to fund the Foundation's full range of programs and operations.
Endowment donations may be made in a number of ways. The principal amount of the endowment cannot be spent; rather, the fund's investment income is used to support FSF programs and activities. You can even specify which Foundation programs you would like your donation to support.
