Inflite Engineering Services announced today at the Dubai Air show that it has teamed with internationally renowned design company LINLEY in London to customise the BAE Systems Avro Business Jet (ABJ).

Inflite has been an integral part of the recent success of the ABJ programme and has converted most of the aircraft sold by BAE systems over the past two years into high specification executive interiors for the new owners.

LINLEY has worked on prestigious interior design projects around the world, including schemes for Gulfstream.

Managing Director of Inflite Engineering Services, Steve Buckingham, said today: “We have extensive experience of the BAe 146/Avro RJ family and in particular the Avro Business Jet. We have seen for ourselves the market reaction to the fantastic value for money in a fully converted aircraft and we have decided that the interior space of the ABJ, coupled with the innovation of a widely acclaimed designer such as LINLEY, will offer the market a very special interior configuration and styling.”

Olivier Cardon, Managing Director of LINLEY added: “We feel honoured to have been chosen by INFLITE to work with them on the Avro Business Jet programme. Our experience working alongside highly sophisticated and demanding clients will contribute greatly to the success of the ABJ The hallmarks of LINLEY, an understated sense of luxury, great comfort and an incredible sense of detail, will be found here as they are in yachts and interiors we design.

Stewart Cordner, Vice President Avro Business Jets for BAE Systems commented: “This teaming between Inflite and LINLEY represents another dimension in the continuing development of the ABJ. We are very excited that such a skilled and sought-after designer is now keen to work on the aircraft, and this gives us a further marketing option when selling the aircraft to new clients.”
