AGC Aerospace & Defense Renames Oklahoma Portfolio Company
The name Valair Aviation was chosen because of its close association with the concepts of valet, value and valor.
OKLAHOMA CITY – AGC Aerospace & Defense executives announced plans today to change the name of the company’s fixed base operator (FBO) and maintenance facility from The ServiCenter to Valair Aviation as they position the company for future growth. The name was chosen because of its close association with the concepts of valet, value and valor.
“The ownership group is committed to maintaining the legacy of The ServiCenter and building on its reputation through the introduction of Valair,” said Rick Nagel, principal with AGC Aerospace & Defense. “The new name better conveys our presence in the aerospace industry and encompasses what we do best through our premier aviation services, tip to tail maintenance and military air operations support.”
In the year that AGC Aerospace has owned and operated the former ServiCenter, the group has implemented upgrades to its service offerings, capabilities, certifications and building amenities. Valair announced a customer loyalty program for frequent clients, which was launched in Sept. 2009. Now, along with the name change, the company plans to further its facility improvements.
“We are committed to Valair’s growth and increased value proposition to its customers,” said Darryl Wilkerson, CEO of Valair and president of AGC Integrated Defense. “Valair is one of the few one-stop turnkey maintenance, repair and overhaul shops in the country and is well positioned for growth as the general aviation business rebounds nationally.”
Of Oklahoma City’s two major airports, Valair is the only Oklahoma-owned FBO.
