FlightSafety Promotes Scott Hunter to Director, Maintenance Training Sales

Scott assumes overall responsibility for the company’s maintenance training sales from Doug Bowen who has been named Director, Maintenance Training Services.

LaGuardia Airport, New York (January 6, 2010) – FlightSafety International is pleased to announce that J. Scott Hunter has been promoted to Director, Maintenance Training Sales.

FlightSafety provides factory authorized pilot and maintenance training services for the vast majority of business and regional aircraft manufacturers. The company offers a wide variety of maintenance training programs that can be tailored to the specific operational requirements of its customers. The comprehensive training courses are designed to enhance safety and to help ensure that the aircraft are maintained efficiently and effectively.

Scott assumes overall responsibility for the company’s maintenance training sales from Doug Bowen who has been named Director, Maintenance Training Services. “We appreciate Doug’s significant contributions to our maintenance training sales efforts and look forward to working with him in this new role,” added Lee.

Hunter joined FlightSafety as Regional Marketing Manager in 1994 and has held a number of progressively responsible positions since then. He was promoted to National Sales Manager, Maintenance Training Services in 1995 and was named Assistant Manager of FlightSafety’s Learning Center in Teterboro, New Jersey in 1998. He was promoted to Manager of the Teterboro Center in 2003 and most recently served as Director, Maintenance Training Sales Regional Airlines.

Scott received a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from Rutgers University in New Brunswick, New Jersey and a degree in Aviation Management from Mercer College in West Windsor, New Jersey. He holds an Airframe/Powerplant license, Inspector Authorization (IA) certification and a Private Pilot license. Scott also serves as Vice President of the Teterboro, Professional Aviation Maintenance Association (PAMA) chapter and has been a board member for the past 16 years.
