BBA Aviation ERO Group to Establish Centers of Excellence at All Major ERO Facilities in the US

Dallas, Texas…January 11, 2010…BBA Aviation Engine Repair and Overhaul Group (ERO) is creating Centers of Excellence (COE) at each of its major repair and overhaul facilities in the United States. Each COE will be dedicated to a major engine OEM product family.

“Combining a given product family at one central location will enable us to maximize the efficiency of our labor force and our supply chain,” stated BBA Aviation ERO president Hugh McElroy. “Our COEs will benefit customers in a number of ways including clearly establishing brand identification for the various products lines, optimizing the speed and efficiency of our work, enhancing our product and market focus, and ultimately delivering the greatest customer satisfaction.”

BBA Aviation ERO has three major repair and overhaul centers in the USA. The Dallas Airmotive Forest Park (Dallas, TX) facility will have COEs for Pratt & Whitney Canada products and Roll-Royce Spey and Tay engines. The Premier Turbines facility (Neosho, MO) will have COEs for Rolls-Royce Model 250 and General Electric engines. The Dallas Airmotive Heritage Park facility (Grapevine, TX) will have a COE for Honeywell Products.

The establishment of the Honeywell Center of Excellence will entail the transition of TFE731 CZI overhaul work from Premier Turbines to Dallas Airmotive Heritage Park in Grapevine, Texas. The transition is expected to be complete in the second half of 2010. Test cell and minor repair operations for the TFE731 will remain at Premier Turbines along with associated engineering and customer support.
