Aircraft Technical Publishers (ATP) announced today that their ICAPSM tool and related service offerings now include International Air Transportation Association Operational Safety Audit (IOSA) pre-audit capabilities for FAR Part 135 and Part 91 operators.

March 9, 2010, Brisbane, CA – Aircraft Technical Publishers (ATP) announced today that their ICAPSM tool and related service offerings now include International Air Transportation Association Operational Safety Audit (IOSA) pre-audit capabilities which will allow Part 135 and Part 91 operators requiring IOSA accreditation to quickly demonstrate continued compliance and conformance of their documentation to IOSA audit requirements.

According to Bob Trevelyan, Vice President of Sales and Marketing for Compliance and Safety Solutions at ATP, “We added this functionality as part of our continuing effort to assist Part 135 and Part 91 operators. This new capability of the ICAP compliance and conformance tool from ATP allows you to manage change on a day to day basis so that IOSA audits become a no-surprise event. This reduces the time and cost necessary for operators to prepare for IOSA audits from weeks to days.”

The ICAP tool from ATP is a web-based service that facilitates regulatory document compliance and conformance to industry best practices. It does this by searching the operator’s manuals and locating text associated with regulator surveillance audit questions. It then captures the text in the manual related to the question, the location in the manual, and identifies any related regulations.

The question, actual text, location of the text, and related regulations can be viewed in printed or electronic reports that reduce the cost and effort of the pre-audit effort. The ICAP tool identifies changes in manuals and/or changes in audit surveillance questions and flags the changes for review by the operation’s compliance officer. As a web-based service, the ICAP tool allows operators to have multiple people working on the pre-audit from anywhere in the world.
