Pegasus Airlines signed last march an exclusive contract with AFI KLM E&M for the maintenance of CFM56-7B engines equipping their B.737 next generation aircraft.
Paris, Amstelveen, 15 April 2010 – Pegasus Airlines signed last march an exclusive contract with AFI KLM E&M for the maintenance of CFM56-7B engines equipping their B.737 next generation aircraft. The agreement covers maintenance for nine engines until April 2011 on a Turn Key basis, including additional services.
Proven reliability and quality, with additional services
The contract covers maintenance of a total of nine engines from B.737-next generation aircraft that go through a tied phase out program, ending April 2011. Proven quality, short and stable turnaround time, on site engine removal capabilities and ability to offer a spare engine during shop visits, made Pegasus choose for AFI KLM E&M.
Turn key contract, experienced provider
AFI KLM E&M operates one of the world’s most experienced engine shops for maintaining CFM56-7 power plants, having performed close to 230 shop visits on this type. The creation of a new engine shop at Schiphol in 2004, substantially boosted engine maintenance capacity. AFI KLM E&M and its customers will be able to take the forecasted upcoming surge in CFM56-7 shop visits in their stride. The maintenance facilities at Paris and Amsterdam can deliver tailor-made, integrated solutions to match customer needs.
“This contract is based on our proven quality and efficient turnaround time combined with the ability to offer a tailor made phase out program at lowest overall cost” said Rob Pruim, AFI KLM E&M VP Sales International.
