ADDISON, Texas – April 20, 2010 – Ship it AOG, the rapidly emerging premier aircraft parts distributor, has been named the factory-authorized South-Central USA distributor of LEKTRO electric towbarless aircraft tugs.

“The distribution agreement with LEKTRO marks a significant diversification for our business, greatly expanding our range of ground-support equipment products and parts,” said George Miller, president and CEO of Ship it AOG. “Since our company’s founding in 2000, we have grown our business consistently by offering top-quality products from major manufacturers like LEKTRO, backed by our reputation for unmatched customer service and technical support.”

LEKTRO’s battery-powered towbarless tugs are used and approved or endorsed by nearly every aircraft manufacturer in the world. LEKTRO tugs range in capacity from single-engine trainers up through the B737 and A320. LEKTRO products are ruggedly built to meet the specifications of the American National Standards Institute (ANSI), Society of Automotive Engineers (SAE) and U.S. Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA), as well as the European Union CE Wheelmark. Nearly every regional airline in North America utilizes LEKTRO tugs.

“LEKTRO’s rugged design allows for use in some of the toughest jobs and harshest environments, including airline and military operations throughout the world,” said Eric Paulson, president of LEKTRO, Inc.

Under the agreement, Ship it AOG assumes responsibility for sales of LEKTRO tugs and parts in the states of Arizona, Louisiana, New Mexico, Oklahoma and Texas. Prior to the distribution agreement, Ship it AOG acted as a LEKTRO dealer.

“We selected Ship it AOG to be our distributor in this important territory largely because they share our passion for customer service,” Paulson said. “We are confident that Ship it AOG will help us provide faster and better support to our growing customer base in this region.”
