Pratt & Whitney Canada Expands Training Network Capability Through Collaboration Agreement with FlightSafety International
FlightSafety International will use new and innovative technologies, such as the Learning Management System (LMS) and Learning Content Management System (LCMS), to maintain and update P&WC's courseware.
EBACE, GENEVA, SWITZERLAND -- (May 4, 2010) - Pratt & Whitney Canada (P&WC) announced during the 10th annual European Business Aviation Convention and Exhibition (EBACE) in Geneva, Switzerland, that its customers will be able to enjoy world-class learning facilities and a strong technology-based training curriculum for the full range of P&WC engine products as early as October. The collaboration agreement P&WC signed with FlightSafety International was designed to enhance the customer training experience. Pratt & Whitney Canada is a United Technologies Corp. (NYSE:UTX) company.

Pratt & Whitney Canada customers will also gain access to a greater volume and variety of online learning tools as a result of this collaboration agreement. FlightSafety International will use new and innovative technologies, such as the Learning Management System (LMS) and Learning Content Management System (LCMS), to maintain and update P&WC's courseware, which includes online and interactive training and all materials for technical courses.
FlightSafety International's technical training programs offer in-depth classroom and hands-on instruction designed to develop, expand and refine proficiency. The company's industry leading maintenance training courseware and curriculum meets worldwide regulatory requirements and provides technicians with highly effective training that supports their efforts to maintain aircraft and now engines to the highest standards.
Customer maintenance technicians will also benefit from FlightSafety International's use of full-scale systems trainers, major component cutaways, working models, maintenance task simulators and a large variety of test equipment used to demonstrate procedures and reinforce the information learned in the classroom.
