Sargent Awarded Aviation Engine Service Contract by TAESL

Sargent Aerospace & Defense announced a three-year contract to conduct component overhaul of tubes, ducts and manifolds used on the Rolls-Royce RB211-535 engine.

Tucson, Arizona, May 17, 2010 – Sargent Aerospace & Defense, a leading supplier of precision components and aftermarket services, announced today a $1 million contract award from Texas Aero Engine Services, LLC (TAESL).

Under terms of the three-year contract that begins this month, Sargent will conduct component overhaul of tubes, ducts and manifolds used on the Rolls-Royce RB211-535 engine. More than 60 applicable part numbers will mean in excess of 1,000 repairs per year will be conducted by Sargent at its repair facility in Franklin, Indiana. “This agreement represents Sargent’s first contract with TAESL and an important sole source win for repair and overhaul of critical airline engine parts,” said Scott Still, president, Sargent Aerospace & Defense.
