AvFAB Receives STC Approval For Beechcraft King Air Strecher/Divan Unit

May 21, 2010
Company recieves STC approval applicable to Beechcraft King Air 90 through 300 series aircraft.

Clinton, MO – May 20, 2010 – Aviation Fabricators (AvFab) is pleased to announce that they have STC approval for a Hawker Beechcraft 4-Place Convertible Divan/Stretcher. The STC is applicable to Beechcraft King Air 90 through 300 series aircraft.

This unit has the same appearance as a typical 4-Place Divan when installed in passenger configuration. It can quickly and easily be converted into a stretcher while in the aircraft. When in “stretcher configuration” the occupant may ride while lying down during all phases of the flight. The “lounge” type design allows the forward (head) end of the stretcher to raise and lower, which maximizes passenger comfort. The stretcher can be used as a bed for a VIP passenger or can be used as a place for a sick or injured person.

No airframe modification is required to install the divan other than removing existing seats and furnishings from the desired location, and setting the new 4-place divan into the vacated seat tracks. The divan can be installed on either side of the airplane in a range of stations. It will require the installation of AvFab shoulder harness kit.
