ATLANTA, May 25, 2010 – Delta Air Lines’ Delta TechOps, was recognized by Aircraft Technology Engineering & Maintenance (ATE&M) Magazine as the “Best Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul (MRO) Provider in the Americas.” This is the third industry award the team has received in recent weeks.

Nominations and final voting for the recipients of ATE&M Awards which were announced early May during a ceremony at the 2010 Airline Purchasing & Maintenance Expo in London—are conducted among Delta’s customers and peers, who selected the airline’s MRO as the best provider based on its reputation and brand. “The men and women of Delta’s Technical Operations have our sincere respect and gratitude,” said Tony Charaf, president – Delta TechOps. “Despite a tough economic environment, they continue to work hard and position Delta TechOps as one of the best MROs in the industry. Their reputation for flexibility and professionalism is known throughout the world and this award clearly reflects that.”

Delta TechOps recently announced it was named the Aviation Week MRO of the Year—Outstanding Maintenance Group, and was voted “Best Total Solutions Provider” in the annual OneAero Top Shop Awards. The MRO of the Year Awards recognize the best Maintenance Repair and Overhaul providers worldwide for pioneering achievements. Award recipients are selected by the editors of Overhaul & Maintenance magazine in four separate categories, including Outstanding Maintenance Group. The Top Shop Awards, which were presented to only 16 of 1,300 eligible aerospace repair centers around the world, recognize superior customer support, excellent turn-around times and competitive repair pricing.
