Everett, WA, (June 18, 2010) – Aviation Technical Services (ATS) announced Jodie Douglas as Vice President Human Resources.

Douglas joins ATS with 29 years experience working in human resources for the airline, mass transit and manufacturing industries. Her most recent role included 13 years with Delta Airlines (formerly Northwest Airlines), where she was Managing Director for HR Operations providing leadership to operations executives and led the HR team. As Managing Director for HR, Douglas’ leadership was instrumental in efforts to implement cost cutting and restructuring measures which helped lead NW out of bankruptcy after only 18 months.

The addition of Douglas is a continuation of ATS’ initiative to leverage airline leadership in being a premier provider of MRO services. “We are lucky to have Jodie’s caliber of leadership at ATS,” says Matt Yerbic, ATS President. “Her extensive background in leading an HR organization at a major airline will be instrumental in meeting the challenges we face in maintaining the quality workforce needed to provide added value MRO services to our customers.”

In other roles, Douglas was Director of HR for TL Systems, a developer and producer of high end capital equipment for the pharmaceutical manufacturing industry. At TL Systems, she facilitated the merger of Bosch and TL Systems and efficiently combined their organizations and resources. At bus services company Metropolitan Transit Association (MTA) in the Twin Cities, Douglas worked as HR Manager. At both TL Systems and MTA, workforce resources were not in high demand and Douglas successfully implemented resource development initiatives which included apprenticeship training and local area outreach programs.
