Empire Aero Center Wins JetBlue's A320 Contract

JetBlue Airways Corp. (NASDAQ:JBLU) reported on Monday (11 December) that it has entered into an aircraft heavy maintenance agreement with Empire Aero Center, based in Rome, NY.

Under the contract Empire Aero Center, in partnership with SR Technics, will provide JetBlue with Airbus A320 heavy maintenance support, known as "C" Checks, for up to 12 aircraft in 2007.

Financial terms of the contract were not revealed.

JetBlue currently operates a fleet of 96 A320 aircraft, and also has a further 82 A320s on order and options for 49 more of the same model through to 2013.
