Paris, Amstelveen, 02 July 2010 – After many months of preparations and an external audit by five Bureau Veritas C auditors lasting eight days, Air France Industries has been able to renew its Single & Global Certification for three years. For the past three years, AFI KLM E&M has benefited from this certification dubbed “Single” because it concerns the whole of the French maintenance footprint, and “Global” because it embraces eight international benchmark standards.
Team-work. Confirmed on 16 June, the renewal of the Certification is equivalent to eight international benchmark standards: ISO 9001 (quality), ISO 14 001 (environment), ISO 22 000 (food hygiene), EN 9100 (aircraft maintenance/design), EN9110 (aircraft maintenance/repairs), EN 9120 (aircraft maintenance/storage), OHSAS 18 001 (occupational health and safety), and ISO 15 489 (documentation). Five auditors from Bureau Veritas Certification carried out a large number of visits and interviews with Air France Industries employees at Le Bourget, Paris-CDG, Paris-Orly, Villeneuve-le-Roi and Toulouse. The mobilization of all staff over many months, upstream and during the audit itself, resulted in a positive decision by Bureau Veritas.
Leveraging continuous improvement for customers. The renewal was included among the major goals of 2010 for AFI KLM E&M as it offers a distinctive value for its customers and stakeholders, and no other MRO operator or player can lay claim to this certification. The renewal also demonstrated proven mastery of aviation maintenance methods and of the continuous advancement mechanisms in place. In addition endorsing the optimization of MRO processes, the quality of the services delivered, and the dynamic improvement of performance, this Certification is also a pledge of AFI KLM E&M’s trustworthiness to its customers.
