Hawker Beechcraft Selects CAE USA as AT-6 Ground-Based Training Systems Provider

CAE USA will lead the design and development of a comprehensive ground-based training system, including aircrew and maintenance technician training solutions for the AT-6 platform.

FARNBOROUGH, U.K. (July 19, 2010) – Hawker Beechcraft Corporation (HBC) today announced it has selected CAE USA as its ground-based training systems provider for the Beechcraft AT-6 Light Attack and Armed Reconnaissance (LAAR) aircraft. Under the teaming agreement, CAE USA will support HBC’s global pursuit campaigns of the AT-6 aircraft. CAE USA, a leading provider of simulation and training systems, will provide a comprehensive ground-based training system as part of an expected AT-6 aircraft sale. HBC has the AT-6 on display at the Royal International Air Tattoo and Farnborough International Airshow in the United Kingdom.

CAE USA will lead the design and development of a comprehensive ground-based training system, including aircrew and maintenance technician training solutions for the AT-6 platform. CAE’s responsibilities will include training system design and analysis, design and manufacture of synthetic training equipment, courseware development, classroom and simulator instruction, and training support services. CAE USA will also develop embedded aircraft simulation solutions for the AT-6 and other T-6 aircraft variants.
